WEBCAST: EFFECTIVELY USING PRODUCT ROADMAPS - : Product managers and product leaders are responsible for setting the direction of the product or product line. Once they've set the direction, they have to share information with key stakeholders, both inside and outside of the firm. Internal stakeholders include executives, marketers, technologists, and the sales team. External stakeholders include customers and analysts. The product roadmap cannot and should not be a one-size fits-all document. Rather, it should act as a consistent statement of strategic direction with managed messages for each audience. With this context, Steven Haines was asked by the Technology Product Management Council at Forrester Research to present his thoughts and ideas behind the best practices related to managing and leveraging product roadmaps.
